Royal Visit

I had the honor of measuring, test fitting, and installing a custom red carpet (complete with stair rods) for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

This was for her re-dedication ceremony during Alberta’s centennial at the Royal Alberta Museum, Edmonton.

Accompanying her is then-Premier Ralph Klein.

Here is the Red carpet (supplied by Crossley Carpets)

Laid out and ready to go. The edge trim had to be fastened securely, but temporarily, to the ashphalt. Here we used double-sided tape and drilled concrete anchors which could be removed. The anchors for the rods were also drilled into the concrete, then removed after the ceremony

Here is a photo of the Shaw patterned carpet we installed inside the museum 6 years earlier. With regular maintenance, this installation still looks brand new, even with the daily high traffic volume the museum experiences.
