Fred Richardson, President:      

During an installation career spanning over 3 decades, Fred has garnered certifications in almost every aspect of commercial and residential flooring from most major manufacturers and has performed technical troubleshooting and training for several of them.  After becoming a certified Red Seal Journeyman floor covering installer, he went on to incorporate Cutting Edge Flooring Ltd. in 1993 as a flooring installation company specializing in commercial and high-end residential installations. In 2005 he was asked to take over the Alberta Apprenticeship Program for Floor Covering at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and taught the course for 4 years. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Alberta Floor Covering Association and has served as Presiding Officer for the Provincial Apprenticeship Committee. He has also served on National Committees developing the exams and criteria for the national Red Seal program in Floor Covering.  In 2012, he joined forces with Chris Sokalski to open the sales division of the company. In 2017 he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Fuse Commercial Flooring Alliance as the only Canadian board member, and in 2017 he was appointed Vice President of the Fuse board.

Chris Sokalski, Vice President:

In 2012, Chris joined forces with Fred Richardson and incorporated Cutting Edge Contract Flooring Ltd., the commercial sales extension of Cutting Edge Flooring’s installation company. Chris brings 20 years experience in the distribution and manufacturing sector of the industry. After serving 7 years as the Western Canadian sales manager for Forbo Flooring Systems, the world's largest manufacturer of linoleum, Chris saw the need for a full high quality full service commercial sales and installation company in the marketplace. His high energy combined with his vast technical and sales knowledge provides another level of professionalism for the company.

Carlo Limio, Estimator and Project Manager:

Carlo brings a load of experience in management and organization. He is well established on our Bid Tech and Measure Square computerized estimating programs and has now taken a more active role in sales and project management.

Nick McLaren, Estimator

Nick joined our estimating team in 2016 and quickly learned both our Bid Tech and Measure Square computerized estimating programs and is the go-to on all new project tenders.  He does much of our digital estimating and has become very proficient at assembling and sending out our quotes.

Mike Clancy, Operations Manager

Mike joined our team in 2018 and his duties include managing our schedule and booking our in-house and Subcontract crews, along with jobsite readiness checks and arranging our large equipment deliveries. Mike is also in charge of our Matting division.
